Sri Lanka beat Netherlands by 83 runs in their last game

                         


Netherlands cannot complete the target of 202 runs given by Sri Lanka where Netherlands were all out at just 118 runs in 16.4 overs in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between Sri Lanka and Netherlands at Beausejour Stadium.

Netherlands become all out at just 118 runs in 16.4 overs and lose the game by 83 runs. Due to the poor batting performance in middle and lower order, they lose this game. Opener Michael Levitt and Max O'Dowd scored 31 runs in 23 balls including 2 boundaries and 3 sixes and 11 runs in 8 balls including only one six respectively. Sybrand Engelbrecht scored 11 runs in 9 balls. While, Captain Scott Edwards scored 31 runs in 24 balls including 2 boundaries and one six. Aryan Dutt scored 10 runs in 8 balls. Meanwhile, other couldn't score runs in double digits.

Sri Lanka looks powerful against Netherlands batting so they can successfully restrict them at just 118 runs. Nuwan Thushara take highest wickets for Sri Lanka as he take three wickets by conceding 24 runs in 3.4 overs. Captain Wanindu Hasaranga and Matheesha Pathirana take equal two wickets for each. While, Maheesh Theekshana and Dasun Shanaka also takes one wickets for each.

In the first innings, Sri Lanka played really well. They chose destructive batting style from the beginning in their final match of this world cup. After early dismissal of Opener Pathun Nissanka goes for a duck, middle order take the responsibility and played a brilliant innings. Kusal Mendis scored 46 runs in 29 balls including 5 boundaries. While, Charith Asalanka played destructive batting and scored 46 runs in 21 balls including one boundary and five sixes. Kamindu Mendis, Dhananjaya de Silva, and Angelo Mathews scored 17 runs in 20 balls, 34 runs in 26 balls, and 30 runs in 15 balls respectively.

Netherlands bowlers couldn't perform well against Sri Lanka as they become expensive against Sri Lankan batsman. Logan van Beek take highest wicket as he take two wickets by conceding 45 runs in 4 overs. While, Vivian Kingma, Aryan Dutt, Paul van Meekeren and Tim Pringle take equal one wicket for each.

Charith Asalanka won the Player of the Match(POM) due to his destructive batting performance as he scored 46 runs in just 21 balls including one boundary and five sixes.
