Pat Cummins take his second hat-trick in this world cup


Afghanistan win historic win by beating Australia by 21 runs in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between Afghanistan and Australia at Arnos Vale Stadium.

Australia can't chase the target of 149 runs given by Afghanistan and become all out in 127 runs in 19.2 overs. Australia lose with first time in the history. Australian batters cannot chase the target due to their bad performance where no any batsman can contribute and secure a victory. For Australia, Opener Travis Head departs at duck after playing 3 balls while another opener David Warner goes after scoring just 3 runs in 8 deliveries. This is the last game of David Warner in the international game as he already announced that he'll gonna retire after this world cup. Captain Mitchell Marsh scored just 12 runs in 9 balls. Glenn Maxwell become the highest run scorer for Australia as he scored 59 runs in 41 deliveries including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Similarly, Marcus Stoinis scored 11 runs in 17 balls. While, no any other batsman can't score runs in double digits. 

Afghanistan bowlers are really good performing in this world cup. They're showing their talent at their best level. In this game also they performed very well and secure a win against the world best team. Gulbadin Naib takes the highest wicket for Afghanistan as he take four wickets by conceding 20 runs in 4 overs. While, Naveen-ul-Haq takes three wickets by conceding 20 runs in 4 overs. Similarly, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi and Captain Rashid Khan take equal one wicket for each.

In the first innings, Afghanistan make 148 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs and gave a respectable target to the Australia. For Afghanistan, Opener made the partnership of 118 runs for the first wicket. Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran both scored half-century as Gurbaz scored 60 runs in 49 deliveries including 4 fours and 4 sixes while Zadran scored 51 runs in 48 deliveries including 6 boundaries. While, Karim Janat and Mohammad Nabi scored 13 runs in 9 balls and 10 runs in 4 balls respectively. 

Australian bowlers performing really good but they couldn't make win this game. Pat Cummins take hat-trick for the second time in this world cup. He take against Bangladesh and now he take against Afghanistan. Pat Cummins alone take 3 wickets by giving 28 runs in 4 overs. Similarly, Adam Zampa and Marcus Stoinis take 2 wickets and 1 wicket respectively.

Gulbadin Naib became Player of the Match(POM) due to his outstanding bowling performance as he take four important wickets by conceding only 20 runs in 4 overs.
