India enters into the Super 8

 India won their third game continuously after beating Ireland by 7 wickets in the on-going t20 world cup 2024 which is played between India and United States at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.


India chased the low total of 111 runs given by USA in the 18.2 overs. After losing wickets early, Indian middle orders handle the pressure and turn game into victory. Opener Rohit Sharma goes after scoring 3 runs in 6 balls while another opener Virat Kohli goes for a duck. Thereafter, Rishabh Pant played a responsible innings of 18 runs in 20 balls. Another side, Surya Kumar Yadav scored 50 runs in 49 balls including 2 boundaries and 2 sixes. While, Shivam Dube played not out of 31 runs in 35 balls including 1 boundary and 1 six.

USA bowlers really perform great in the powerplay. They made Indian batsman in pressure after taking first two wickets early but then they cannot perform well. Saurabh Netravalkar take two crucial wickets of Rohit and Virat by conceding just 18 runs in 4 overs. Ali Khan take 1 wicket in 3.2 overs by conceding 21 runs. While, other bowlers cannot take wickets.

In the first innings, USA made a respectable fighting total of 110 runs by losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Opener Shayan Jahangir goes for duck in the very first ball. Steven Taylor scored 24 runs in 30 balls including 2 sixes. Captain Aaron Jones scored 11 runs in 22 balls while Nitish Kumar scored 27 runs in 23 balls with the help of 2 fours and 1 sixes. Corey Anderson scored 15 runs in 12 balls with one four and six. 

Indian bowlers perform excellent in this game also like every other game. Arshdeep Singh alone take highest four wickets for India by conceding only 9 runs in 4 overs. While, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel take two wickets and one wicket respectively. 

Arshdeep Singh became Player of the Match(POM) due to his economical bowling performance as he take four crucial wickets by giving 9 wickets.

Virat Kohli announced the retirement from t20I

Virat performed the player of the match while winning India the T20 World Cup title for the second time. RCB entered into the playoffs by beating CSK.
