Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) maintained their playoff chances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by registering a win against Punjab Kings. In the match at Dharamsala, RCB registered a 60-run victory.

After losing the toss and batting first, RCB made a huge total of 241 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs.

For RCB, Virat Kohli scored 92 runs off 47 balls with 7 fours and 6 sixes. Rajat Patidar scored 55 runs off 23 balls with 3 fours and 6 sixes. Cameron Green scored 46 off 27 balls.

Punjab's Harshal Patel took 3 wickets, Vidwath Kaverappa took 2 wickets and Arshdeep Singh and Shyam Karan took 1 wicket each.

n response, chasing a huge target of 242 runs given by RCB, Punjab were bundled out for 181 runs in 17 overs. Riley Russo scored 61 runs off 27 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes for Punjab. Shashank Singh added 37 runs in 19 balls. Jonny Bairstow scored 27 runs and Sam Curran scored 22 runs.

Mohammad Siraj took 3 wickets for RCB while Swapnil Singh, Loki Ferguson and Karan Sharma took 2 wickets each.

Virat Kohli became Player of the Match due to his brilliant inning os 92 runs in just 47 deliveries with the help of 7 boundaries and 6 sixes at the strike rate of 195.74.

After the win, RCB, which is in seventh place, has reached 10 points in 12 matches. Defeated Punjab is in ninth place with 8 points from 12 matches.
