Rajasthan Royals enter into the Play-off second after beating Royal Challenger Bangluru by 4 wickets

                               

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been eliminated from the Indian Premier League (IPL) after losing against Rajasthan Royals in the eliminator match. RCB was eliminated by losing by 4 wickets against Rajasthan in a must-win match to maintain their chances of finals.

While registering the victory, Rajasthan met the target of 173 runs given by RCB by losing 6 wickets in 19 overs. For Rajasthan, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 45 runs in 30 balls with 8 fours and Riyan Paragd scored 36 runs in 26 deliveries with 2 fours and 2 sixes. 

Mohammad Siraj took 2 wickets for RCB while Loki Ferguson, Karn Sharma and Cameron Green took 1 wicket each.

Before that, RCB, who lost the toss and batted, scored 172 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Rajat Patidar's 34 off 22 balls was the highest score for RCB. Similarly, Virat Kohli scored 33 runs while Mahipal Lomror added 32 runs. Cameron Green scored 27 runs.

Avesh Khan took 3 wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin took 2 wickets for Rajasthan. Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 wicket each.

Ravichandran Ashwin became Player of the Match due to his exceptional bowling performance as he took 2 crucial wickets by giving only 19 runs at the economy of  4.75 in his 4 over spell.

Rajasthan will now play against Sunrisers Hyderabad, the defeated team of Qualifier 1, to enter the final next Friday. Kolkata Knight Riders have already entered the final after beating Hyderabad.

Virat Kohli announced the retirement from t20I

Virat performed the player of the match while winning India the T20 World Cup title for the second time. RCB entered into the playoffs by beating CSK.
