Lucknow beat Mumbai by 18 runs

                          

Lucknow Super Giants won against Mumbai Indians by 18 runs which is played in May 17, at Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first and Lucknow gave target of 215 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. However, Mumbai cannot complete this target and can manage only 196 runs by losing 6 wickets by playing full overs.

Lucknow gave the target of 215 runs to Mumbai Indians. For this, Captains Kl Rahul played well deserve innings of 55 runs in 41 balls with the help of 3 boundaries and 3 sixes. While, Nicholas Pooran played brilliant innings of 75 runs in just 29 delivers at the strike rate of 258.62. He hits 5 boundaries and 8 sixes. And, Marcus Stoinis and Ayush Badoni both contributed of 28 runs and 22 runs respectively.

From Mumbai bowling side, Nuwan Thusara who got chance to play his first match in this IPL of last match did great bowling performance. He took 3 wickets by conceding 28 runs in 4 overs. Leg spinner Piyush Chawla also perform good with bowling as he also took 3 wickets by giving only 29 runs in 4 overs. While, other bowlers cannot take wickets. Jasprit Bumrah didn't get a chance to play in this match which Mumbai can fell the missing of Bumrah as a balling side.

After getting the target of 215 runs, Mumbai can only manage of 196 runs by playing full overs. The opening batsman; old captain Rohit Sharma played brilliant knock of 68 runs in just 38 deliveries. He hits 10 boundaries and 3 sixes. Meanwhile, all-rounder Naman Dhir also played brilliant innings of 62 runs in just 28 deliveries with the help of 4 boundaries and 5 sixes at the strike rate of 221.43. Dewald Brevis, Ishan Kishan and Hardik contributed of 23 runs, 16 runs and 14 runs respectively.

Lucknow players did their best performance as they can restrict Mumbai Indians in just 196 runs by taking 6 wickets. Ravi Bishnoi and Naveen-ul-Haq did great bowling and both take 2 wickets 37 runs and 50 runs respectively. Krunal Pandya and Mohsin Khan took 1 wickets by conceding of 29 runs and 45 runs respectively.

Nicholas Pooran won the Player of the Match award due to his fastest knock of 75 runs in just 29 deliveries.
