Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royal by 5 wickets

                           

Chennai Super Kings, who registered an easy win against Rajasthan Royals, have a strong chance of reaching the playoffs. Chennai registered a 5-wicket win against Rajasthan Royals in the match at Chennai's home ground and strengthened its chances of being in the top four.

Chennai met the medium target of 142 runs given by Rajasthan by losing 5 wickets with 10 balls remaining. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad remained unbeaten with 42 runs off 41 balls for Chennai. Rachin Ravindra added 27 runs and Darryl Mitchell added 22 runs. Shivam Dubey added 18 runs.

Rajasthan's Ravichandran Ashwin took 2 wickets while Nandre Berger and Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 wicket each.

Simarjeet Singh became Player of the Match due to his exceptional bowling performance. He took 3 wickets conceeding only 26 runs in 4 overs.
