Rajasthan lost their first match in this IPL

                           

Gujarat Titans have tasted their first defeat against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Gujarat registered a 3-wicket victory over Rajasthan in the match on Wednesday.

The huge target of 197 runs given by Rajasthan was found by Gujarat by losing 3 wickets in the last ball.

Needing 15 runs in the last over, Rashid Khan hit 4, 2 and 4 runs off Avesh Khan's first three balls. He took one run in the fourth ball and while taking 3 runs in the fifth ball, Rahul Tewatia was run out. With 2 runs needed in the last ball, Rashid hit a four and Gujarat won the game in a thrilling manner.


Captain Shubman Gill scored 72 off 44 balls for Gujarat. Similarly, opener Sai Sudarshan scored 35 runs and Rashid scored 24 runs in 11 balls. Tewatia added 22 runs.


Kuldeep Sen took 3 wickets and Yuzvendra Chahal took 2 wickets for Rajasthan. Avesh Khan took 1 wicket.

Before that, Rajasthan lost the toss in Jaipur and batted first and managed to score only 196 runs in 20 overs. Rian Parag scored the highest 76 runs for Rajasthan. Captain Sanju Samson added 68 runs. Similarly, Yashasaswi Jaiswal scored 24 runs.


Umesh Yadav, Rashid and Mohit Sharma took 1 wicket each for Gujarat.

Rahid Khan became Player of the Match due to his match winning knock in the final two overs. He scored 29 runs in just balls along with he also takes 1 wicket with giving only 18 runs in his spell.

After the win, Gujarat is in sixth place with 6 points from 6 matches. Rajasthan is at the top position with 8 points from 5 matches.
