Mumbai won easily against Banglore


In the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Thursday, Mumbai Indians registered a comfortable victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). While registering the second win of this edition, Mumbai registered a 7-wicket win over RCB. Mumbai met the huge target of 197 runs given by RCB by losing 3 wickets in just 15.3 overs.


For Mumbai, opener Ishan Kishan scored 69 runs off 34 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes. Similarly, Suryakumar Yadav played an explosive innings of 52 runs off 19 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes. Rohit Sharma scored 38 runs off 24 balls while captain Hardik Pandya scored 21 runs off 6 balls.


For RCB, Akash Deep, Vijay Kumar Visak and Will Jacks took 1 wicket each.
 

Before that, RCB, who lost the toss and batted first, lost 8 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs and added a huge total of 196 runs. Captain Faf du Plessis scored the highest 61 runs for RCB while Dinesh Karthik added 53 runs in 23 balls including 5 fours and 4 sixes. Rajat Patidar scored 51 runs off 26 balls.


Mumbai's Jasprit Bumrah alone took 5 wickets while Gerald Coetzee, Akash Madhwal and Shreyas Gopal took 1 wicket each. 

Jasprit Bumrah became Player of the Match due to his exceptional bowling. He took 5 wicket for giving only 21 runs in his four over spell. His first IPL wicket and 100th IPL wicket is both Virat Kohli. With the help of this performance, he won purple cap also.

After the win, Mumbai is in seventh place with 4 points from 5 matches. RCB is in ninth place with 2 points from 6 matches.
