Delhi win easily against Gujrat

                                                    

Delhi Capitals have won their third in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Delhi defeated Gujarat Titans by 6 wickets on Wednesday.

Delhi's decision to field after winning the toss proved correct. Chasing a modest target of 90 runs, Delhi scored 92 runs for the loss of 4 wickets with 67 balls remaining.

For Delhi, Jack Fraser McGurk scored 20 runs, Cy Hope scored 19 runs, Abhishek Porel scored 15 runs. Captain Rishabh Pant remained not out for 16 runs and Sumit Kumari for 9 runs.

Sudeep Warrier 2, Spacer Johnson and Rashid Khan took 1 wicket each for Gujarat.

Before that, Rashid Khan scored highest of 32 runs for Gujarat. Apart from Sai Surdashan scoring 12 runs and Rahul Tawatia scoring 10 runs, none of the batsmen could score runs in double figures.


For Delhi, Mukesh Kumar took 3 wickets for 14 runs in 2.3 overs. Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets giving 8 runs in 2 overs. Tristan Stubb took 2 wickets, Khalil Ahmed and Akshar Patel took 1 wicket each.

Captain of Delhi, Rishabh Pant became Player of the Match as he scored 16 runs along with he take 2 catches and did 2 stumpings.

With 6 points from 7 matches, Delhi is sixth and Gujarat is seventh. Rajasthan Royals at the top have 12 points. Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians will compete in IPL on Thursday.
