Chennai losses against Lucknow

                            

Lucknow Super Giants defeated Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday.

With a target of 177 runs, Lucknow won by adding 180 runs for 2 wickets in 19 overs with half-centuries from captain KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock.


D Kock and KL Rahu laid the groundwork for the victory by forming an important partnership of 134 runs for the first wicket. KL Rahul contributed 82 runs off 53 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes. Another opener de Kock scored 54 runs off 43 balls with 5 fours and 1 six. Nicholas Puran added 23 and Marcus Stonis were knocked out for 8 runs.

Mustafizur Rahman and Mathisa Pathirana of Chennai took 1 wicket each.


After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Chennai scored 176 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Once again Mahendra Singh Dhoni batted sensationally. Dhoni, who played 9 balls, added 28 runs not out with the help of 2 sixes and 3 fours.

Similarly, Ravindra Jadeja scored the highest 57 runs for the team. He played 40 balls and hit 5 fours and 1 six. Ajinkya Rahane scored 37 runs, Moeen Ali scored 30 runs and Rituraj Gaikwad scored 17 runs. Other batters did not work.


Lucknow's Kurnal Padya took 2 wickets, Mosin Khan, Yash Thakur, Ravi Vishnoi and Marcus Stoins took 1 wicket each.

Kl Rahul, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants became Player of the match due to his outstanding batting performance as he scored of 82 runs in just 53 balls with the help of 9 boundaries and 3 sixes.
