In the 17th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders have won against Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets with 3.1 overs remaining. Last night at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Kolkata won by 7 wickets to make it two wins in a row in the current edition of the IPL.The target of 183 runs given by Bengaluru was completed by Bengaluru with the loss of three wickets with 19 balls remaining.
Bengaluru, who lost the toss and were invited to bat, scored 182 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
For Bengaluru, opener Virat Kohli remained not out after scoring 83 runs. He played 59 balls and hit 4 fours and 4 sixes. With the help of this, Virat Kohli secure orange cap once again in this edition of IPL.
Dinesh Karthik added 20 runs with 3 sixes in 8 balls before being run out in the last ball. Before that, Cameron Green contributed 33 runs by hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes in 21 balls, while Glenn Maxwell, who played 19 balls, scored 28 runs by hitting 3 fours and 1 six. Captain Faf Du-Plessis was dismissed for 8 runs while Rajat Patidar and Anuj Rawat were dismissed for 3 runs each.
For Kolkata, pace bowler Andre Russell and Harshit Rana took 2 wicket each while Sunil Narine took one wicket in his spell.
For Kolkata, captain Shreyas Iyer hit 2 fours and 2 sixes in 24 balls for 39 runs and Rinku Singh remained not out with 5 runs in 5 balls. Before that, Venkatesh Iyer had scored a half-century. He completed 50 runs off 30 balls by hitting 3 fours and 4 sixes.
Similarly, Sunil Narayan contributed 47 runs by hitting 2 fours and 5 sixes in 22 balls. Opener Phil Salt scored 30 runs off 20 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes.
On the bowling side, Bengaluru's Yes Dayal, Mayank Dagar and Vijayakumar Vishak took one wicket each.
Sunil Narine is the Player of the Match(POM) in this game while he scored of 47 runs in just 22 deliveries with along side he also took one wicket in his bowling spell.
