Gujrat defeat Hyderabad by 7 wickets with 5 balls remaining

                                     

Gujarat Titans defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 12th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

By defeating Hyderabad by 7 wickets, Gujarat registered their second win in the ongoing season of IPL. The target of 163 runs presented by Hyderabad was completed by Gujarat on the first ball of the last over.


For Gujarat, David Miller hit a winning six and added a total of 44 runs. He hit 4 fours and 2 sixes off 27 balls. Sai Sudarshan scored 45 runs in 36 balls with 4 fours and 1 six.

Captain Shubman Gill was dismissed for 36 and Wriddhiman Shah for 25 runs. Vijay Shankar remained not out for 14 runs.

Hyderabad's Shehbaz Ahmed, Mayank Markande and Pat Cummins took 1 wicket each.


Before that, Hyderabad scored 162 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma and Abdul Samad added 29-29 runs. Heinrich Klaasen got out after scoring 24 runs off 13 balls.

Gujarat's Mohit Sharma took 3 wickets for 25 runs. Azmat Omarzai, Umesh Yadav, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed took 1 wicket each.

Mohit Sharma become Player of the Match in this game because of his exceptional bowling performance taking three wickets with giving only 25 runs in his 4 overs spell.

Gujarat, which is fourth in the points table, has 4 points in 2 matches. Hyderabad is in fifth place with 2 points from 3 matches. Delhi and Mumbai are scoreless. Chennai, Kolkata and Rajasthan have 4-4 and Lucknow, Punjab and Bengaluru have 2-2 points.
