RCB lost againsr KKR by 1 run

                               

In the first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders won a thrilling victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore. Kolkata registered a 1-run win over Bengaluru.

Chasing the target of 223 runs given by Kolkata, Bengaluru managed to score 221 runs after losing all the wickets in 20 overs.

Needing 21 runs for victory in the last over, Corn Sharma hit 3 sixes in the first 4 balls of Mitchell Starc and got out in the fifth ball. 3 runs were needed off the last ball, but Loki Ferguson was run out when he took the second run and Bengaluru lost.

Will Jacks scored 55 runs in 32 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes for Bengaluru. Similarly, Rajat Patidar scored 52 runs in 23 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. Dinesh Karthik scored 25 runs, Sash Prabhudesai scored 24 runs and Karn Sharma scored 20 runs. Virat Kohli added 18 runs.


Andre Russell took 3 wickets, Harshit Rana and Sunil Narine took 2 wickets each for Kolkata. Mitchell Starc and Varun Chakraborty took 1 wicket each.


Before that, he was invited to bat first after losing the toss at Kolkata's Eden Gardens. Kolkata lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and added 222 runs. Captain Shreyas Iyer scored 50 runs in 37 balls for Kolkata. Phil Salt gave a good start with 48 runs off 14 balls. Similarly, Andre Russell scored 27 runs while Rinku Singh and Ramandeep Singh added 24 runs.


Andre Russell became Player of the Match due to his exceptional bowling performance. He took 3 wickets just giving of 25 runs in his 3 over, he also scored 27 runs in 20 balls by bat.

For Bengaluru, Yash Dayal and Cameron Green took 2 wickets each while Mohammad Siraj and Loki Ferguson took 1 wicket each.
