In the 16th edition of Indian Premier League(IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders won the match against Lucknow Super Giants in the match 28 played in Eden Garden, home ground of Kolkata.
The target of 162 given by Lucknow achieved by Kolkata in just only 15.4 overs with the loss of only 2 wickets.
After getting the invitation of batting first after losing the toss, LSG managed to add only 161 runs in the board with loss of 7 wickets. After getting depart of Quinton de Kock, Kl Rahul have the resposibility to add big runs in the board. As a skipper, Kl Rahul can add 39 runs in 27 balls with the help of 3 boundaries and 2 sixes. Nicholas Pooran contributed highest score for LSG as he score 45 runs inn 32 balls. He hits 2 boundaries and 4 sixes. While, Ayush Badoni can add only 29 runs with the help of 2 boundaries and 1 sixes.
For KKR, Mitchell Starc picks the highest wicket. He take 3 wickets by giving 28 runs in his 4 overs. While all other four bowlers, Vaibhav Arora, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Andre Rusell all picks 1 wickets.
After getting the normal target of 162 by LSG, KKR completed the target in just 15.4 overs with the loss of only 2 wickets.
For Kolkata, the opener batsman Phil Salt scored the highest run for KKR, he scored of 89 runs off 49 deliveries with the help of 14 boundaries and 3 sixes. And, the second highest run scored by the skipper of Kolkata, Shreyas Iyer scored 38 runs in 38 balls with the help of 6 boundaries.
For LSG, the Mohsin Khan alone picks two wickets with the giving of 29 runs in his 4 overs.
Philip Salt became Player of the Match due to his destructive batting as he scored 89 runs in just 47 balls.
