Hyderabad won easily against Delhi after giving huge target

                         

With an explosive batting performance, Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a comprehensive victory over Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Saturday. Hyderabad won by 67 runs against Delhi on the same ground.


After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Hyderabad, with excellent batting, lost 7 wickets in 20 overs and made a huge total of 266 runs. He scored 125 runs in 6 overs of Powerplay while building the fourth largest total in IPL history. The explosive start of the opener Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma took Hyderabad to a strong position.
Head scored 89 runs in 32 balls with 11 fours and 6 sixes while Abhishek scored 46 runs in 12 balls with the help of 2 fours and 6 sixes. Similarly, Shahwaz Ahmed scored 59 runs in 29 balls while remaining not out with 2 fours and 5 sixes. Nitish Reddy contributed 37 runs off 27 balls.


For Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets for 55 runs in 4 overs. Similarly, Mukesh Kumar and Akshar Patel took 1 wicket each.


In reply, Delhi scored 199 runs in 19.1 overs. For Delhi, Jail Fraser-McGurk hit 5 fours and 7 sixes in 18 balls but could not get the team through. Captain Rishabh Pant scored 44 runs off 35 balls. Abhishek Porel added 42 runs off 22 balls. Prithvi Shaw scored 16 runs and Tristan Stubbs scored 10 runs.


In Hyderabad's victory, Natarajan took 4 wickets in 4 overs with 1 maiden at the expense of 19 runs. Similarly, Mayank Markande and Nitish Reddy took 2 wickets each while Washington Sundar and Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 1 wicket each.

Travis Head became Player of the Match due to his destructive batting performance. He scored 89 runs in just 32 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and 6 sixes.

After the win, Hyderabad is in second place with 10 points from 7 matches with 5 wins. Delhi is in seventh place with 6 points from 8 matches with 3 wins. Rajasthan Royals at the top have 12 points.
